Priyadarshini---- The ONE who is beautiful to look at...

My daughter Priyadarshini is going to turn 12 tomorrow. On the 19Th of July she'll officially be not called a child any more. But to me she looks and feel still the same just like a baby .How time flies....i remember it so well the day she was born.It was a hard labour. i had been in pain for two days but still the little princess didn't think it was the right time to come out.Anyway, out she came on the third day and what a beauty she was!!

I guess every mother feels the same way but to me she was the most amazing little thing with her own set of hands, feet,ears ,head even thick hair and long nails!! When she came out she didn't cry out as other babies but she had a good look all around and then let out a yell.


Over the years she has grown from a tiny bundle weighing four kgs to a tall young girl of five feet two inches. I remember her crossing all her mile stones and wishing desperately that she would hurry up and grow up.Now that she has i feel just the opposite and i wish again that she was small enough to be carried or she was tiny enough to sit on my lap again to hear a bed time story........

This was taken when she was taken when she was three months old.It was my birthday and Rajiv got roses for me.We placed the flowers in front of her and took the snap,quiet innovative of R, i must say.

She had so much of hair it could be tied, so everyday i used to tie her hair and doll her up:)

As a toddler Riddhi,as we call her at home was extremely naughty.She ran around constantly and hardly slept.At two, she went and pulled the cat's tail who bit her her!! If we were going in the car she would keep on asking for sweets and threw a tantrum.Doing my grocery shopping was a terror.She would sit in the trolley car and throw all the things as soon as i put them in.So it was double work for me... putting them in and picking them from the floor!!When i took her out in her buggy, she took off her shoes and threw them on the road.I would realise what she had done much later and had to retrace my way back to retrieve the shoes!!

When she was two and a half , her baby brother was born and we moved from UK to India.It was a big change for her but she took it in her stride but became extra extra naughty.But now see them as such fun times though it did not seem so at that time.She started going to school and once she hid the house keys before going to school thinking that she'll produce them like magic when i nearly gave up the thought of ever finding them!!
